Founder & President
Mother of Jayce
Founded Jayce the Healer Foundation in September of 2014 in memory of her son Jayce Kayden Sherman-Chattelle. Devastated from her loss she has taken this tragedy and turned it intoadvocacy. "Drowning is a grossly underfunded, preventable public health threat" she plans to change that with her diligent efforts to end drowning in honor of her son "Jayce the Healer" #notonemore
April Ricci
Vice President
April Ricci is the Vice President of the Jayce the Healer Foundation. She comes to this role with a background in Development, Event Planning and Operational and Finance Management. She has played pivotal roles in her previous work with Planned Parenthood of Rhode Island, Marriage Equality Rhode Island, The Fund for Community Progress and the Rhode Island Chapter of Mother's Against Drunk Driving.
Jay Chattelle
Emcee/Event Host
Father of Jayce
Jay Chattelle born and raised in Pawtucket, father of 6 and JAYCE'S DAD is a founding member of Jayce the Healer Foundation as well as the founder of From The RIP. He is the poet laureate for the City of Pawtucket and works every year on the 5th grade poetry slam against tobacco. He was awarded the 2016 humanitarian award for his good works in the city over the years. He spreads his ;positive energy to everyone that attends our events with his bubbly and humorous personality as the official emcee and host for this foundation.
Richard Campbell
Board Member
Richard Campbell is originally from Warwick but now lives by the beach in Narragansett RI. He is a professional realtor with Atlantic Properties LLC in Cranston and Narragansett. Rick is a friend of the family who has known Jayce since shortly after his birth. He is proud to be a volunteer board member of this foundation in Jayce's name to prevent drowning and promote water safety.
Lettie Robinson
Board Member
Lettie Robinson is a mother of 3 and godmother to Jayce. As a child she almost drowned twice, once in a pool and once at a state beach. Her life was saved both times by lifeguards. The information we share today to prevent drowning was not taught to her as a child, she had no swimming lessons. Her passion to share knowledge and the importance of #notonemore is greatly due to the fact that "everyone thinks it won't happen to them, but it only takes a few seconds"
Tina McCaffrey
Board Member
Tina McCaffrey is from and currently resides in Warwick. She works with children and adults that have developmental and intellectual disabilities. She has been a close friend of the family for over 13 years. Her passion to create awareness and educate the community to ensure that another life is not lost to drowning is driven by her love for Jayce.
De'Lin D'Ambra
Board Member
De'Lin D'Ambra is a married mother of 4. Through the years she has put together and joined teams to support the efforts of creating awareness and raising funds for The Jimmy Fund, Relay for Life, and The Easter Seals. She is also an active member of Eastern Star. She is proud and honored to serve on this board and is dedicated to the prevention of drowning.
